Hi Reader! If you're anything like me, summer is a mix of family fun, nonstop snack requests, and trying to steal a few quiet moments for yourself. Whether you're stretched out in a beach chair in Hawaii, flipping pages on a plane, or just relaxing in the backyard while the kids run wild, there’s nothing better than getting lost in a good book. I’ve rounded up some great reads that are perfect for summer—whether you're craving something light and fun, a little romance, or a twisty mystery that keeps you guessing. These are the kind of books that make you say, “Just one more chapter,” even if bedtime was an hour ago. Also, if you don't already have a Kindle, I highly recommend getting one! You'll be shocked at how many more books you'll read (especially if you get Kindle Unlimited and take advantage of Libby)! My Top Picks for Summer 2025👉 Finlay Donovan is Killing it: OMG stop what you're doing and add this to your TBR. It's SUCH a hilarious and smart series. 👉 Georgie, All Along: I read this because Julia Quinn recommended it and she was right on track! It's a really cute love story and I enjoyed every page! 👉 The Paradise Problem: If you loved Crazy Rich Asians, this will be right up your alley! 👉 The Main Character: The story is pretty layered and I pretty much binged the whole book because it was easy to read and super interesting. 👉 When Stars Align: If you grew up with 90s popstars, you'll LOVE this book! 👉 Earl's Trip: This was laugh-out-loud funny! I liked the sort-of modern twist to a typical regency romance 👉 Drop Dead Sisters: This was hilarious and I can't wait to read the next one 👉 The Rom-Commers: If you love cute Netflix movies, this book will be your BFF. 👉 It's Elementary: This book is hilarious and has so many references that elder millennial moms will adore! 👉 The Villa: With the dual timelines, it's a pretty intriguing story that will probably make you stay up past your bedtime. 👉 Mr. and Mrs. American Pie: It's what the show Palm Royale is based on but the story is completely different. It's HYSTERICAL! 👉 The Faculty Lounge: This book was pretty funny and totally relatable, especially if you're a parent or work at a school. 👉 The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley: This was really thought-provoking about how happiness is a choice 👉 The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels: It's told with transcripts, emails, and WhatsApp messages. 👉 Nobody's Perfect: Loved the viewpoint of an almost divorcee launching a new YouTube channel (because her blog was dead) and how she comes to realize how her videos impact the people around her. 👉 Sandwich: It's basically a week vacation in Cape Cod and it goes day by day talking about the trip but more importantly, the big things going on with the characters. 👉 The Summer Pact: I thought this was really sweet and it was emotional, but in the best ways possible. So go ahead and toss one (or a few!) of these into your beach bag, carry-on, or even your everyday purse. You’ve earned some “me time,” and these books are ready to keep you company. Happy reading, P.S. Got a favorite book that you think other moms would love? Hit reply and share—I’m always looking for my next read! 📖 |
