I just opened up new consultation spots (and something new)

Aloha Reader,

I just got back from a trip and I'm already fielding planning questions... which honestly, I love.

But before I jump back into everything, I wanted to share something I've been sitting on for a while.

I've been getting a version of the same message for months now.

"Is there any way to get more than an hour with you?"

Honestly? I get it. Some trips are just... a lot.

You're planning two islands. You have a grandparent who uses a walker and a 4-year-old who needs a nap by 1pm. You've been researching for six weeks and somehow feel more confused than when you started. Sixty minutes is a good start, but we run out of runway before we run out of questions.

So I listened. Starting today, I'm officially offering 90-minute consultations... and I just opened up fresh spots on my calendar.

Here's what that extra 30 minutes actually buys you:

We don't have to rush. Multi-island trips especially need room to breathe. Working through the logistics of Maui + Kauai (or any combo) in an hour means skimming. In 90 minutes, we can actually build something you feel good about before we hang up.

We can get into the complicated stuff. Maybe your family spans three generations. Maybe you have a kid with sensory sensitivities. Maybe you need to know which resort is actually walkable and which one requires a car for everything. This is the kind of thing that takes time to do right.

First-timers especially: you have a LOT of questions. And they're all valid. The 90-minute session gives us space to cover the big picture AND the details without me having to cut you off.

The 90-minute consultation is $199 (the 60-minute is still available at $149). Both include my free booking service through my travel agent partner, which normally runs $100-300).

I only open a handful of appointments each week, so if you see a time that works, I wouldn't wait on it.

If you've been on the fence about booking, or you looked at the 60-minute option and thought "that might not be enough," this one's for you.

As always, if you're not sure which option is right for you, just hit reply. I'm happy to help you figure it out.

Marcie

P.S. If you've already had a 60-minute call with me and want to come back for a deeper dive on a new trip, the 90-minute session works great for that too.

Aloha Reader, People assume that after 40-plus trips to Hawaii I sit down and a perfect itinerary just appears. It does not. I still work through the same set of questions every single time, in the same order, because skipping any of them is how you end up with a plan that looks great on paper and falls apart on day two. Here's exactly how I build a Hawaii itinerary from scratch. Start with the island, not the activities. This is where most families go wrong. They find a cool snorkel tour or...

Aloha Reader, Our first Hawaii trip with kids was planned within an inch of its life. I had a spreadsheet. Color coded. Every restaurant researched, every activity slotted into a time block, every drive timed out to the minute. I was so proud of that itinerary. We were going to see everything. We saw a lot of things. We also spent half the trip rushing between them. Someone was always hungry at the wrong time or tired at the wrong moment and the whole day would unravel because we were already...

Aloha Reader, My oldest has been to Hawaii about 12 times. At this point he has opinions. On our last Kauai trip he decided he wanted to do a serious acai bowl taste test. Every morning, a new spot. He kept mental notes, compared textures and toppings, took the whole thing very seriously. By the end of the week he had a definitive ranking. Sunrise Coffee won, if you're curious. That trip is a good example of what Kauai does to people who are ready for it. It slows you down in the best way....
